Brazilian Government Responds to Attacks

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Brazilian government has responded to the recent attacks on the US embassy in the Brazilian capital of Brasilia. Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva released a statement saying that while he regrets the loss of life and promises to investigate the recent attack. He also strongly condemned the attacks by the Bolivian group and deplored the inability of the Bolivian government to inform the other governments of the OAS of the growing terrorist threat within their nation.

Additionally, a number of failed bombings occurred at a number of other Brazilian government buildings. The militants attempting these bombings were seized and appear to have ties to the OPL.
